What are varicose veins?
In order for veins to return blood to
your heart efficiently from your legs,
they have one-way valves to prevent blood from
flowing backwards due to gravity. If the valves do
not close properly, the blood will pool in
that area of the vein.
This abnormal collection of blood will push
the vein walls outward, causing the vein to enlarge
and bulge, resulting in varicose veins.
What are telangiectasias?
Small, dilated or broken segments of blood vessel
visible through the skin, often seen in a
clustered pattern known as "spider veins."
What is photorejuvenation?
The use of intense pulse light (IPL)
in a manner to rejuvenate the skin,
dramatically lighten pigmented lesions,
and stimulate collagen growth resulting
in a reduction in fine wrinkles.
What is epilation?
The use of intense pulse light resulting
in a long term stable reduction in the number
of hairs that regrow in a treatment area.
